Jackie Chan has agreed to star in a new recruitment campaign by the Los Angeles police.

Chan wore a police uniform, and appeared alongside Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca in Monterey Park to publicise the new initiative, aimed at encouraging more Asian-Americans to enter the force.

The veteran martial arts star was made an honorary sheriff’s deputy during the ceremony and said he is always willing to promote police campaigns.
