<p>Last week while trying to recover from the flu I was contacted by Andy Goodwin of <a href="http://www.agency-seeker.co.uk" target="_blank">Agency Seeker</a> asking for a link from Recruitment Views, at the time I was in no condition to do anything until now.</p>
<p>I get many requests, but I thought I would give them a mention as I felt it was a good tool for recruiters and an alternative to <a href="http://www.agencycentral.co.uk/">Agency Central</a>.</p>
<p>Where I believe Agency Seeker wins is in its ease of use and a modern clean friendly design, but where they stand out is by giving you more for your advertise spend, as you can advertise your recruitment roles and your general vacancies at the same time, a bit like a one stop shop.</p>
<p>One thing is for sure it is going to be difficult for them to make their mark due to the competition and the current state of the market, but what they have is an innovative style and with their competitive pricing policy and the ability of candidates to find their ideal agency by postcode, then they have the basis of a successful venture, certainly worth taking a look.</p>

<p>Well I could be wrong but if you are looking for the ultimate position, achieve out of this world experiences, no limits to your potential, launch your career, the world is your oyster, reach for the stars&#8230;.</p>
<p>I think one could have a field day with this recruitment advert and you wouldn&#8217;t be exaggerating as it appears <a href="http://www.esa.int/esaCP/SEM3TR0YUFF_index_0.html">The European Space Agency</a> are   on a recruitment drive for Astronauts.</p>
<p>Well if you think you have what it takes check out the requirements in the video below, but if you have a fear of heights I suggest that you do not apply</p>

<p>Firstly I thought it would make sense to look at how it was before, by visiting <a href="http://web.archive.org/web/20070104062907/http://www.huxleyopportunities.com/">waybackmachine</a> and noticed not a huge difference, but the latest version is much clearer and easier to navigate.</p>
<p>I also decided to compare them with the winner of <a href="http://www.alljobsuk.com/awards/awards2007/Norawinners.shtml" target="_blank">Nora</a> the <a href="https://www.west-midlands.police.uk/wmprrecruit/index.asp" target="_blank">West Midlands Police</a> and the other <a href="http://www.alljobsuk.com/awards/awards2007/Norafinalists.shtml" target="_blank">finalists</a>, to see if theirs was up to the mark. At the end of the day shouldn&#8217;t a recruiter be able to produce the best internal career web site! </p>
<p>Having checked out the winner I then moved on to the runners up and I was impressed with <a href="http://www.sthreecareers.com/index.php?mod=home&amp;page=home_nav">sthree</a>. What I didn&#8217;t realise, which I am sure is obvious to most of you is that Huxley Associates are part of the same group, which explains a lot in their similarities.</p>
<p>What did catch my attention was the style was completely different to sthree, almost as if they were looking for a hugely different type of employee. What did disappoint was the lack of information on the company, and why on earth was their no link to the group website <a href="http://www.sthree.com" target="_blank">sthree</a>, maybe it was a test for new recruits to see if they have researched the company.</p>
<p>None the less it is well put together and if I was looking for a career change it certainly puts the company in a good light, I particularly liked the profiles section of the different roles.</p>
<p>So if if I was them and wanted to win NORA next year, I would put in more corporate information, maybe some video and maybe a blog, but hey then I am a little biased as a blogger.</p>
