"Not bad going for someone who’s been rather slack with the posting lately!"

Well if that isn’t a kick up the back side I don’t know what is, still congratulations to Peter Gold in winning and my fellow runners up James Parr with Omniblog and a few friends at Digital Recruiting. Also I must give a big thank you to all those who voted for my blog.

I have to admit it has been a little difficult to get back into the swing of it again, which I am pleased to say is more down to the sales I have been getting with Arithon, one of which was a direct result of this blog.

So less of the excuses and a little more action, like any job rhythm is the key to success particularly if you work from home.

What No Blackberry for Christmas!

Power Save ClockWhy is it whenever you go on a company visit or out interviewing, there is always an urgent call to cancel or arrange an interview and you haven’t the candidates or the hiring managers number.

OK I could have one of these new Internet phones or a Blackberry or even the trendy I-phone, but there was none to be found in my stocking on Christmas day! Although I did get the new I-Pod Nano, so I could finally take my music with me. Yes I have to admit I have been a bit slow here, but that’s what comes from working from home.

Anyway to my surprise when I hooked it up to my computer, I found it synced with my Outlook contacts and diary so although I cannot pick up my emails at least I can find that urgent number without having to phone the office.

Mind you I am sure some companies will feel uncomfortable with this with data protection and all, but none the less a cheaper option than having to buy a Blackberry and the associated network charges.

Happy New Year

Well I have finally got through all my emails after the break, I suppose that what you get when you take 10 days of without access to the Internet!

Firstly I want to wish you all a Happy and Prosperous New Year and don’t let those “drop outs” get you down this week, its just part of the game.

Also I wanted to take this opportunity to thank those of you who felt my blog was worthy to subscribe too and all of you who taken time out to make comments, I really appreciate it. It is the growing number of subscriptions and comments that drive me on to keep writing, which I have to say isn’t my most natural skill.

So having said that I look forward to 2008
