I know this isn’t recruitment related but one application I love is the Mozilla Firefox application. I am completely convert from the Microsoft’s Internet explorer for many reasons, one with it being more secure and secondly I love the fact you can choose your own template, as a recruitment consultant you spend so much time in front of the computer, it should be at least something you like.
What did fascinate me and why I wanted to share this information is that I have always wondered how Firefox made their money with a free application. Well as it turns out Firefox in 2005 made over $50 million dollars!
I couldn’t believe it, it just so happens that there is a little Google search box in the tool bar and if you click on an ad they get up to 80% of the ad revenue.
