For those graduates out there looking for the next move, you may want to head over to www.gradu8.com for their graduate recruitment fair, no need to catch the train or cue in the rain as this is online all this week.
You will be able to talk direct to the likes of IBM, TATA Steel, Barclays Capital, Cable and Wireless to name just a few, who are looking for graduates at this moment. On top of this there are some very good seminars online too. I personally would find “How do I manage my personal online brand” by IBM particularly useful for those who are using Facebook at the moment.
It is also worth noting that recent reports have revealed that Graduate unemployment is at a 17 year high.

With up to 50 key graduate recruiters present, it is a great virtual meeting place for graduates to interact with these recruiters and present themselves beyond a CV and cover letter.
None the less it looks like TotalJobs have organised a quite sophisticated show for the IT savvy graduates!

I’ve had a look at this and it’s really helpful… As far as virtual recruitment fairs go, it’s surprisingly successful. What’s most impressive, aside from the helpful advice, is the quantity and calibre of participating organisations which are actually using the site to recruit as well as offer advice/promote themselves to graduates.
